Wing Tsun seminars wiht Sifu Simon Mayer are a blast - and unlike at so many other seminars, you will actually learn a lot.

Sifu Simon is the most successful Wing Tsun instructor in the United States (not counting some who only travel here occasionally to teach). He came here in 1995, fresh out of the famous 'Wing Tsun Castle' in Germany (see picture below), with only a few thousand dollars in his pocket. He barely knew English, had no connections in the US other than yours truly, and did not know how to drive a car - so he bought himself a used Honda. After practicing his driving for only a few days in the back streets behind my house, he took off, all that way across the country, and drove himself to Marin County near San Francisco, where he started to teach small classes and began to ceaselessly promote Wing Tsun.

Today, he owns Bay Mountain Martial Arts, has over 350 students, of which over 50 are black-shirt assistant instructor levels and higher (with several 3rd Level Technicians), who run nearly twenty separate schools and training groups under him throughout California.

Sifu Simon has been able to catapult himself to the forefront of Wing Tsun in the United States by leveraging close relationships with some of the best and highest-ranking Wing Tsun masters in Europe, the place where the art has developed into the most realistic and most advanced form in its 300-plus year history.

Our school has been officially affiliated with his organization, Bay Mountain Martial Arts, since the beginning of 2011. Sifu Simon holds a 4th Level Technician Grade in Wing Tsun Kung Fu.

Seminars with Sifu Simon take place at Houston's Backyard Wing Tsun four time a year.
